NOVEMBER 10th 2025
SALEM CONVENTION CENTER
Presented by:

The Marine Corps Birthday is one of the biggest social events of the year for leathernecks all over the world.
On 10 November 1775, the Second Continental Congress resolved to raise two battalions of Marines. Congress commissioned thirty-one year old Samuel Nicholas, a well-known Philadelphian, as captain of the fledgling force of Continental Marines.
From Tun Tavern in Philadelphia, Nicholas raised two battalions of Marines as directed and began the long illustrious history of the United States Marine Corps. Every year since 1925 the founding of the Marine Corps has been celebrated with a Birthday Ball.
This year we who call ourselves Marines, Leathernecks, Devil Dogs, and America's defenders proudly celebrate 250 years service and sacrifice. Come celebrate the evening in Salem with a night of dining, dancing, guest speakers and time honored ceremony.

An Evening of Tradition and Honor
The Marine Corps Birthday Evening will be a proud and spirited celebration honoring 250 years of Marine Corps history and tradition. The night will feature a formal ceremony, a catered dinner, followed by an inspiring address from our guest speaker (to be announced soon). After this evening opener the event will be open to all Marines and their guests with no ticket necessary. We will have our traditional ceremonies including the cake-cutting and Commandant Lejeune's message. Guests will enjoy a lively atmosphere with dinner, camaraderie, and opportunities to participate in fundraising activities supporting veterans and their families. The evening will blend reverence for our shared heritage with music, laughter, and fellowship—true to the Marine Corps spirit.
